Meet Tom
A journalist’s curiosity.
A novelist’s imagination.
Stories begin with a question. Tom Mitsoff has spent his career asking them.
Tom Mitsoff is a journalist, editor, and author whose career spans community newspapers, digital publishing, and fiction.
Raised in Beavercreek, Ohio, where his parents ran a community newspaper, Tom spent 14 years as editor of his hometown papers before becoming executive editor of a Dayton-area newspaper group in 1998. He later led The Sunday Challenger in Northern Kentucky, where the newsroom earned 47 state journalism awards, including multiple first-place General Excellence honors.
As publishing moved online, Tom served as web editor of the Tyler Morning Telegraph in Texas. In 2011, he founded Expert Online Business Solutions, helping businesses develop their online presence.
From reporting to imagining
His fiction explores people facing extraordinary change: a historian who alters the course of the world in A World Remade, the unsettling reach of artificial intelligence in Artificial Awakening, and a community facing danger in The Naples Justice Alliance.
His nonfiction includes The Web Ranking Manual, Bitcoin Decoded, and Fixing Post-Truth Politics. Across his work, Tom invites readers to learn, think, and be entertained.
